PHOTO EXHIBITION HIGHLIGHTING INDIAN ATROCITIES IN OCCUPIED KASHMIR INAUGRATED IN KECIOREN

A photo exhibition highlighting Indian gross human rights violations and Kashmiri resilience in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), was jointly inaugurated by the Ambassador Dr Yousaf Junaid and Deputy Mayor Kecioren Muncipality Atilla Zorlu today, in connection with Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir meaning ‘Day of Exploitation of Kashmir’.

Speaking at the occasion, Deputy Mayor Zorlu reiterated Turkish support for the Kashmir Cause, and expressed hope that Kashmiri brethren would be blessed with dawn of freedom. In their just and legitimate struggle for the right of self-determination, Kashmiri brothers would find their Turkish brothers by their side, he added.

In his speech, Ambassador Junaid thanked the people and government of Turkiye for their principled stance and continued support on Kashmir, especially H.E President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for highlighting the Kashmir cause at international fora. Ambassador Junaid reiterated that even after seventy six years, the unlawful measures of the Indian authorities to consolidate their occupation of IIOJK and persistent suppression of the rights of the people of Kashmir continue with impunity. One day the oppressors will be thrown into the dust bin of history and justice will prevail, he added.

The exhibition brought together a collection of striking and thought provoking photographs showcasing actual experiences of the Kashmiris in the occupied territory and their struggle for the inalienable right to self-determination.
