Requirement for Registration of Child with the Embassy (within three months of birth):
1) Applicant must be present in person (except for Pakistanis living in Kosovo and Northern Cyprus). 2) Duly filled-in Form S. 3) 4 photograph of child with light blue background. 4) Birth Certificate (Original from hospital). 5) Copies of Pakistani valid Passports and CNIC/NICOP of parents having marital status written (original). 6) Copy of parents’ residence card in country of stay. 7) Marriage certificate of parents dully attested by the relevant Pakistani authorities.

Power of Attorney/Attestation
1) Applicant must be present in person along with original CNIC/NICOP. 2) Applicant will sign the document at the Embassy in front of the Consular Officer. 3) Witnesses must be present if mentioned on the document. Original CNIC/NICOP, along with copies, of witnesses are required.(email and mobile Numbers also required) 4. Copy of attorney national ID card. 5. Two (2) Photographs 2. Executants and 1 of Attorney 6. Contact Numbers of both parties. 7. Both parties are also required resident of addresses 8) Processing fee for power of attorney is USD 20 per document. |
Legalization of Documents
1) Foreign documents (Turkish) must be first legalized/ attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey before attestation at this Embassy. 2) Documents issued by the Pakistani authorities must be attested by either the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan (in Islamabad) or any of the 4 Camp Offices (in Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, respectively) before attestation at the Embassy/Consulate General. 3) Attestation fee for any document is 20 USD per page.

On 9 March 2023, the Convention of 5 October 1961 Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents (1961 Apostle Convention) entered into force for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, following the deposit of its instrument of accession on 8 July 2022. Ministry of Foreign Affairs has started Apostle certification with effect from 17 May 2024. To this end, authentication of public documents for international use was streamlined with the official launch of the "Apostle Convention" ceremony in August 2024. With the formal launch of the Apostle certification, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its Liaison Offices at Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta and Gujrat will receive documents for Apostle attestation though they have already notified five courier companies. Since last month on August 21, the MOFA Pakistan has launched an "Online Apostle Application System." This system allows individuals to apply for apostle online by creating a profile and submitting documents directly through the "Online Payment App" introduced by Habib Bank Ltd. Pakistani documents must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan before attestation at this Embassy. 3. Attestation fee for any document is USD 20 per page

Power of Attorney |
Requirements: 1. Personal appearance* of Executants’ 2. 2 Photograph* of Executants’ 3. Provision of each Executants’ original valid Pakistani passport or NADRA card along with its photocopy 4. Unsigned original document(s) along with a complete set of photocopies of all the documents being submitted for Attestation / Legalizations 5. Executants’ will need to sign the document(s) in the presence of High Commission’s official 6. Contact numbers of both Executants and Attorney. 7.Full address and contact numbers NADRA card along with its photocopy 8. Power of Attorney ( Attestation) fee USD 20 per document. (Note: The validity of Power of Attorneys is 120 days from the date of attestation of Pakistan’s Missions abroad and re-attestation/verification by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad or its Camp offices in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta.) |
Online Power of Attorney |
For Online Power of Attorney, following documents need to be uploaded:
1. Original Power of Attorney with signature and thumb impression of executor (please upload only one correct power of attorney).
5. CNICs (both sides) of Witnesses and their numbers must be written on Power of Attorney.
At the time of interview witnesses have to be present with the executor. Otherwise the online Power of Attorney cannot be processed.
NOTE: Please recheck all details including CNIC numbers, spelling of names, passport number etc before submitting your application. Moreover, keep the identity documents along with original documents with yourself during Interview.

Educational Documents/Degrees |
1. Educational certificates issued by Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Pakistan must be countersigned by IBCC. 2. Degrees issued by various Universities in Pakistan must be attested by Higher Education Commission (HEC) 3. Certificates of technical skill should be attested by the local technical board or trade testing board of Pakistan. 4. All the documents mentioned above must be countersigned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Pakistan. 5. All educational certificates issued by Universities and schools in Turkish should be attested by the local Ministry of Foreign Affairs Turkey before submission to this Embassy. |
Marriage Certificate |
1. Nikkah Nama/Marriage Certificate in Original issued by Nikkah registrar in Pakistan with his signature and stamp must be countersigned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Pakistan. 2. Marriage Certificate issued in Turkiye should be translated in English and attested by Notary Public and Countersigned by Ministry of Foreign Affairs Turkiye. |
Death/Birth Certificates |
1. Such certificates, if issued by a hospital, should be signed by MS/DMS of a Government Hospital, in Pakistan. 2. In case these certificates are issued by Union Council, then they should be signed by Secretary Union Council with his stamp. 3. Must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Pakistan. 3. All the documents must be countersigned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Pakistan. |
Divorce Certificate |
Divorce Certificate should be issued by Chairman of Arbitration Council of the respective Union Council and attested by a Magistrate in Pakistan and countersigned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Pakistan. |
Driving License |
1. Original driving license, along with No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned licensing authority, is required for attestation by the Embassy/Consulate General. 2. In cases where original license is not available, a copy of license duly attested by the concerned licensing authority is required. (NOTE: License without NOC shall not be attested.) |
Police Character Certificate |
It should be issued by local District Police Officer in Pakistan or in case of tribal areas, by Political Agent, and countersigned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Pakistan. Miscellaneous Documents (Pakistan Origin) |
1. Papers about MBBS/PMDC must be attested by Ministry of Health. 2. Nursing Diplomas must be countersigned by nursing superintendent. 3. Medical fitness certificates should be signed by MS/DMS. 4. Miscellaneous documents in addition to the documents mentioned above will be disposed off on case to case basis. 5. All above mentioned documents must be countersigned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Pakistan and/or our Camp Offices in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta, respectively. |
