CULTURAL EVENING IN HONOUR OF HIGH-ACHIEVING STUDENTS DELEGATION FROM PAKISTAN
The Embassy of Pakistan in Ankara hosted a cultural evening in honour of a high-achieving student delegation from Pakistan, currently visiting Türkiye under the initiative of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, aimed at rewarding academic excellence and promoting educational and cultural exchange between the two brotherly countries.
The event was graced by Ambassador of Pakistan to Türkiye Dr. Yousaf Junaid and Director General Eyyup Tanyildiz of Türkish Ministry of National Education, senior officials, and distinguished guests. The students of Pakistan Embassy International Study Group (PEISG) presented vibrant cultural performances showcasing shared heritage and traditions of Pakistan and Türkiye.
In his remarks, Ambassador Dr. Yousaf Junaid highlighted that the students’ visit reflects Prime Minister H.E Shehbaz Sharif’s commitment to investing in talented youth and strengthening educational and cultural cooperation with Türkiye. He congratulated the students on their achievements, urging them to act as young ambassadors of Pakistan and to learn from Türkiye’s educational and social experiences.
The Ambassador expressed deep appreciation for the support of the Turkish Ministry of National Education and reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to enhance collaboration in student exchanges, teacher training, and joint curriculum development. He also highlighted the significant contribution of the Pakistan Embassy International Study Group (PEISG) in advancing quality education and fostering mutual understanding between the brotherly countries.
While welcoming the students to Ankara, Director General Eyyup Tanyildiz noted that the visit provided an excellent opportunity for students to understand each other’s cultures and build lasting friendships. He reaffirmed Türkish Ministry of Education’s commitment to further enhancing cooperation in student and teacher exchanges, joint research, and academic collaboration between Pakistan and Türkiye.
Concluding his address, Ambassador Junaid reiterated the enduring bond between Pakistan and Türkiye, describing the relationship as “one nation, two states.” He congratulated the students and wished them continued success in their academic and personal journeys.
The first batch comprising of 70 students of 149 students in total, is currently in Türkiye. Earlier, the students spent three days in Istanbul, where they visited historic landmarks and leading universities, gaining exposure to Türkiye’s rich cultural and academic environment.
