ANKARA, October 13: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has assured his Government’s complete support for making Ambassador Rauf Engin Soysal’s assignment a resounding success. Ambassador Soysal, UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Assistance to Pakistan called on Mr. Gilani at the Prime Minister’s house in Islamabad, on Tuesday evening.
ANKARA, Sept. 11: A nine-year old Turkish girl student Ms Merve Beyza Tekinay has donated her one year’s pocket money of TL 150 in cash and her doll as a contribution to help the flood stricken people of Pakistan.
ANKARA, September 7: Chairman Saadat Party Prof. Dr. Numan Kurtulmuş today visited Pakistan Embassy in Ankara and conveyed sympathies and condolences of his party for the flood affectees of Pakistan.
The 64th Independence Day of Pakistan was commemorated with the recitation from the Holy Qura’an followed by unfurling the national flag by the Ambassador of Pakistan Mr. Tariq Azizuddin on the tune of National Anthem in the presence of the Pakistani community and Embassy officials. The messages of President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out by him to the participants.
ANKARA, August 4: The Embassy of Pakistan in Ankara conveys the appeal of the Government of Pakistan to the brotherly people of Turkey and Pakistani expatriates to donate in cash or kind to help affectees of the worst floods in Pakistan’s history. Over 1500 people have lost their lives, while another 3 million persons are directly affected in northwest Pakistan.

ANKARA, 21 July 2010: Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad today joined as Scholar, Urdu Chair, Ankara University, Turkey. Dr. Mushtaq is a Ph.D. in Urdu fiction and has to his credit more than 50 research articles that have been published in internationally recognized journals. His arrival in Ankara will provide a boost for the promotion of Urdu language and literary activities in Turkey.

ANKARA, July 15: Pakistani Defence Minister Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, who is leading a defence delegation to Turkey, visited today Turkish defence organizations including Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) and ASELSAN in Ankara. Possibilities of local production, co-production, and transfer of technology for defence related products according to needs of the two countries were discussed during the visit.
