Pakistans Ambassador to Turkey H.E. Mr. Muhammad Haroon Shaukat here today gave a detailed briefing on the status of Turkey-Pakistan bilateral relations to the participants of the 100th National Management Course of the National School of Public Policy who are currently on a study tour of Turkey.
Turkey has offered to further enhance the capacity of law enforcement agencies of Pakistan for countering terrorism. Turkish Minister for Interior Mr. Efkan Ala made this offer during a meeting with Col (Retd) Shuja Khanzada, Minister for Counter Terrorism, Police Reforms & Environment Protection, Government of Punjab here today.
In order to chart out ways for close collaboration in the energy sector, Turkey and Pakistan have agreed to form a technical working group in the energy sector. Secretary of the Ministry of Water & Power Mr. Saif Ullah Chatta who was leading a three-member delegation discussed this during his meetings with Turkish officials at Ankara.
Pakistan Navy Ship RAH NAWARD is currently on a friendly visit to Çanakkale Port in Turkey from 22 to 25 April 2014. The Ship is the Sail training ship (also called Tall Ship) of Pakistan Navy. The Ship is on the way to participate in the Black Sea Regatta. Race is scheduled from Varna, Bulgaria till Novorossiysk, Russia. Race will be starting off Varna on 3 May 2014 and will finish off Novorossiysk on 9 May 2014. The race is organized by the Sail Training International (STI). There are 23 vessels participating in the Regatta in different categories.
