A high-level judicial delegation from Pakistan, visiting Turkey from 12-15 April, has had wide-ranging briefings and interaction with senior Turkish officials and counterparts. The delegation includes 12 participants and a faculty member of the 58th Shariat Course of the Shariat Academy of the International Islamic University, Islamabad, as well as the Director General and two faculty members of the Punjab Judicial Academy, Lahore.
A large number of distinguished guests participated in the reception hosted by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkey Sohail Mahmood in Ankara on 23rd March as part of the National Day celebrations. Senior Turkish civil and military leadership, leading businessmen, media representatives, Pakistani community, and diplomats based in Turkey attended “Pakistan Day” reception.
The National Day of Pakistan was celebrated in Ankara at an impressive ceremony at Pakistan Embassy in Ankara today. The Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkey, Mr. Sohail Mahmood, raised the Pakistan flag on the tune of the National Anthem in presence of the Pakistani community, Pakistani students studying in Turkish Universities and Embassy officials and their families.
A delegation of Punjab Government led by Director General Lahore Development Authority (LDA), Mr. Zahid Zaman, briefed Turkish private sector representatives about the vast investment and joint venture opportunities in real estate sector of Punjab. Turkish Contractors Association (TCA) hosted the event at its headquarters in Ankara.
Pakistan Navy War College (PNWC) delegation headed by Commodore Suhail Hameed SI(M) visited Istanbul, Turkey from 10 to 15 March 2017. Pakistan Navy War College conducts courses for officers of the Pakistan Armed Forces and Military Officers from allied countries. As part of its curriculum, the PNWC undertakes a foreign study tour of regional and friendly countries. The PNWC delegation consisted of 13 members from the ongoing course, including allied officers from 4 countries.
The 5thMeeting of Pakistan-Turkey High Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC) was held on 23 February 2017 at Ankara. The meeting issued the following Declaration/MOUs/Agreements at its conclusion: 1. Joint Declaration on Pakistan-Turkey Strategic Relationship for Peace and Prosperity.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will be visiting Turkey from 22-24 February 2017 for the 5th Session of the Pakistan-Turkey High Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC).The Prime Minister will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, consisting of Ministers and senior officials. He would have wide-ranging consultations with the Turkish leadership on bilateral, regional and international issues. Together with Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim, the Prime Minister would co-chair the 5th HLSCC meeting, to be held in Ankara on 23 February 2017.
Turkey has once again reaffirmed its unflinching support for the oppressed people of occupied Kashmir and stressed the importance of resolving this dispute in accordance with the relevant United Nations resolutions. This support was reiterated at a Seminar held with joint collaboration of the Economic & Social Researches Centre (ESAM) and the Embassy of Pakistan in Ankara on Tuesday to commemorate the Kashmir Solidarity Day.

Pakistan Navy Ship, PNS ALAMGIR (FFG 260), a multi-mission Frigate of 25th Destroyer Squadron arrived at Aksaz Naval Base of Turkey with an embarked ASW Helicopter to participate in the Multinational Maritime Exercise MAVI Balina 2016. The exercise, featuring NATO Navies, is being hosted by Turkish Navy in the Eastern Mediterranean.
