President of Pakistan Mr. Asif Ali Zardari will pay an official visit to Turkey from 11-14 April, 2011. During the visit, the President will meet President Abdullah Gül, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Speaker Turkish Grand National Assembly Mehmet Ali Şahin.
Pakistan’s President Mr. Asif Ali Zardari on 25 March telephoned President Abdullah Gul of Turkey and talked about the recent incident of the deliberate desecration of the Holy Quran by a lunatic in Florida and the need for collectively urging the UN to take note of it and evolve plans for promoting cultural and religious harmony in the world.
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Kahlid Shameem Wynne, who is on an official visit to Turkey, called on Turkish President H.E. Mr Abdullah Gül on Wednesday. Gen. Khalid apprised the President about the ongoing efforts of Pakistan in the fight against terrorism and extremism.
Pakistan Embassy in Ankara commemorated “Pakistan Day” at a ceremony here today. The Ambassador of Pakistan Mr. Tariq Azizuddin unfurled the Pakistan flag on the tune of National Anthem in presence of the Pakistani community and Embassy officials. The Ambassador read out messages of President and Prime Minister.
A 7-member delegation of Pakistan’s Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) led by its President Mr. Muhammad Saeed Shafiq, met here today with Mr. Husnu Dilemre, Director General of the Turkish Foreign Trade Undersecretariat’s General Directorate of Agreements.
ANKARA, 19 February 2011: Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan Mr. Faisal Karim Kundi met the President of Housing Development Administration of Turkey (TOKI) Mr. Erdogan Bayraktar at his Ankara office and thanked the Turkish Government for building 4620 houses for flood affectees of Pakistan.
ANKARA, February 17: While terming the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Turkey as exemplary, leadership of both the countries agreed to further strengthen existing cooperation in the fight against terrorism and to jointly target anti-terror activities such as curbing the sources of funding for terrorists. This was agreed in a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey Mr. Jamil Chechek and Deputy Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan Mr. Faisal Karim Kundi in a meeting here today.
ANKARA, February 7: Participants of a seminar expressed their full support to the oppressed people of Kashmir and their democratic right to self-determination. The seminar, to commemorate Kashmir Solidarity Day, was organized by the Embassy of Pakistan at Ankara today.

ANKARA, October 13: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has assured his Government’s complete support for making Ambassador Rauf Engin Soysal’s assignment a resounding success. Ambassador Soysal, UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Assistance to Pakistan called on Mr. Gilani at the Prime Minister’s house in Islamabad, on Tuesday evening.
ANKARA, Sept. 11: A nine-year old Turkish girl student Ms Merve Beyza Tekinay has donated her one year’s pocket money of TL 150 in cash and her doll as a contribution to help the flood stricken people of Pakistan.
ANKARA, September 7: Chairman Saadat Party Prof. Dr. Numan Kurtulmuş today visited Pakistan Embassy in Ankara and conveyed sympathies and condolences of his party for the flood affectees of Pakistan.
