    Visa


    1) Tourist Visa

    • i.       Dully filled-in visa form.
    • ii.      Two passport-size photographs.

    • iv.     Invitation Letter from the sponsor or hotel booking details in case of individual tourist.
    • v.       Invitation Letter in case of a group by the Tour Operator designated by the department of
      • tourist services.

    • Duration and Validity

      • i.      Applicant (Single/ multiple) for a short duration less than 3 months (First Time entry).
      • ii.     Duration up to and greater than 6 months (Extension).
      • iii.     Citizens from these countries may be eligible for a Double Entry Tourist Visa.
      • iv.     A Tourist Visa can be extended to up to 6 Months or more, subject to approval.
    • v.     Processing Time:  7-10 Working Days.

     

    2) Tourist Visa (On Arrival) .

    • Eligibility 

      • i.     To avail the Tourist Visa On Arrival, you must be a citizen of the countries listed here

      • ii.     Foreign nationals of Indian origin are also eligible to apply under this category for religious
      •           tourism purposes.
      • iii.    Tour Operators approved by the Pakistan Directorate of Tourist Services (DTS) may be allowed
      •         to bring Tourist - groups under this category.

    •        Required Documents

      • i.       Photograph.

    • Duration and Validity

      • Ø     Tourist Visa On Arrival is valid for up to 3 months.

        Ø      Nationals of Bahrain, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and UAE may be

      •          granted a 30-day, multiple-entry visa upon arrival.

        Ø   Processing Time: Please submit your intent to travel at least 48-72 hours  before your planned

      •         trip to Pakistan to receive an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA).

     

    3) Family Visit Visa .

    • Eligibility .

    • Required Documents

      • i.       Dully filled-in visa form.
      • ii.      Two passport-size photographs.
      • iii.     Passport.
      • iv.     POC or likewise

        2. vi.      Birth Certificate.
        3. vii.     CNIC/ NICOP.

      • First Time:      Visa valid up to 3 months.
      • Extension:      Visa valid up to 5 years with up to 1-year stay on each entry.

    4) Business Visa .  

    • Eligibility .

      • i.     Dully filled-in visa form.

      • iv.    Proof of registration of company which is extending invitation (SECP/ Chamber of Commerce
      •        Certificate recommendation).
      • v.     Any of the following:-
        •                         Original recommendation letter from CC&I of the respective foreign country.
        •                   OR Original Invitation letter from a business organization duly recommended by the
        •                          concerned trade organization in Pakistan.
        •                   OR  Original Recommendation letter by the honorary investment counselor of BOI/
        •                          Commercial Attaché.

    • Duration and Validity

      • Ø  A Business Visa may be granted for up to 5 years.

        Ø  A Business Visa is valid for  Multiple Entries into Pakistan.

        Ø  Processing Time:  4-6 Weeks.

    5) Business Visa On Arrival .

    • Required Documents

      • i.      Photograph.

    6) Student Visa. 

    • Eligibility .

      • v.       NOC from HEC/ Economic Affairs Division/ IPC/ Health Ministry/ Education Ministry.
      • vi.      For Entry Visa: NOC from the concerned Government.
      • vii.     For Extension: NOC from concerned embassy in Pakistan of student’s country.
      • viii.    Sponsorship/ Bank Statement (in case of accompanying family).

    • Duration and Validity .  A Study Visa is granted for    2 years .

    7) Work Visa .

    • Eligibility .
    • Citizen of foreign countries who have a valid job offer and meet the requirements are eligible to apply for this Visa.

      • x.          Company profile.
      • xi.         SECP registration letter of company.
      • xii.        FBR NTN certificate of the company.
      • xiii.       Previous Recommendation by BOI/ MOI (if applicable).

    • Duration and Validity 

        • A Work Visa is  granted for 1 year .
        • A Work Visa is valid for Multiple Entries into Pakistan.
        • A Work Visa is   extendable on a yearly basis subject to approval .
        • Processing Time .   4-6 weeks .

     

    8) Domestic Aide Visa.  

    • Eligibility .

    • Foreign domestic workers are eligible to apply for this visa under the sponsorship of their employer.

      • A Domestic Aide Visa may be granted for  1 year.
      • A Domestic Aide Visa is extendable by  1 year plus double entry.
    • Processing Time.  4-6 weeks.

     

    9) Official Visa.  

    • Eligibility .

    • Foreign Officials of all countries who are assigned to   perform official duties in Pakistan  are eligible to apply for this visa.

    • Duration and Validity .  An Official Visa is valid for the  entire tenure of the Official Assignment .

      •                                  4-6 weeks   (Visa Extension).

     

    10) Diplomatic Visa .

    Foreign Diplomats can apply for a visa for the entire tenure of their diplomatic assignment. Details are as under:-

    • Eligibility   

      • All diplomatic staff of foreign countries are eligible to apply for this visa.
      • Diplomatic Visas will be granted against authorized slots only.

    11) Tabligh Visa .

     Muslim citizens of foreign countries who wish to participate in Tabligh activities can apply for this visa. Details are as under:-

    • Eligibility .
        • Muslim citizens of all countries are eligible to apply for this visa.

      • i.        Dully filled-in visa form.
      • ii.       Two passport-size photographs.
      • iii.      Passport.
      • iv.        Invitation letter by the authorized Tableeghi Centre.

    •
    • Duration and Validity .  A Tabligh Visa can be  granted for 45 days .
    • Processing Time.  4-6 weeks.

     

    12) Missionary Visa .

     Christians Missionaries can apply for this visa to carry out missionary work in Pakistan.

    Details are as under:-

    • Christian citizens of all countries are eligible to apply for this visa.

    13) Others/ Miscellaneous Visa.

    Foreign citizens who wish to participate in  sports ,  conferences ,  seminars,  and various  cultural events  taking place in Pakistan can apply for this visa.

    Details are as under:-

      • All Countries.
      • Applicant must apply 6 weeks in advance of the event he/ she intends to attend.

    •                                   The duration and validity of the visa is subject to the duration of the event.

    14) Journalist Visa .

    Journalists can apply for this visa which is valid for  Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi  under the following two categories:-

    • Pakistan Based.   Journalists of Pakistan-based and accredited media houses.
    • Non-Pakistan Based . Journalists must not be on the negative list.

    • Required Documents

      • i.       Dully filled-in visa form.
      • ii.      Two passport-size photographs.
      • iii.     Passport.
      • iv.     Letter from Media Agency/ Organization
      • v.     Recommendation from Ministry of Information and Broadcasting/ Press Attaché/
      •        Pak Mission Abroad.

    • Duration and Validity. Visa valid for  3 months subject to approval.
    • Processing Time.  4-6 weeks.

     

    15) NGO/ INGO Visa.

    • Eligibility .
        • All NGO/ INGO officials, staff and their family members are eligible to apply for this visa.


    • Required Documents

      • i.       Dully filled-in visa form.
      • ii.     Two passport-size photographs.
      • iii.     Passport.
      • iv.     Invitation letter by NGO/ INGO.
      • v.       Proof of Registration of the NGO/ INGO.

    • Duration and Validity.    All NGO/ INGO visa is valid for  3 months subject to approval.
    • Processing Time.                  4-6 Weeks.

     

    16) UN/ IO Visa. 

    Officials/ persons deputed to work for or on behalf of the UN and International Organization (IO) in Pakistan can apply. Details are as under:-

    • Eligibility .
        •  All UN/ IO officials, staff and their family members are eligible to apply for this visa.

    • Required Documents
      • i.      Dully filled in visa form.
      • ii.     Two passport-size photographs.
      • iii.     Passport.
      • iv.     Copy of Resident Permit/ National ID Card.
      • v.       Invitation letter (note verbal) issued by the relevant UN Agency/ International Organization
      •          in Pakistan.
      • vi.      Dispatch letter (note verbal) issued by the relevant UN Agency/ International Organization
      •          in Pakistan.

    • Duration and Validity   

      • UN/IO Assignment Visa (already existing/ newly created post) - 1-year multiple entries for Chinese nationals and 6 months multiple entries for third-country nationals.

      • UN/IO Short Term Assignment Visa (Consultants/ Experts/ INGOs Registered in Pakistan) - 1-year multiple entries for UNLP holders and 6 months multiple entries for national passport holders.

      • UN/IO Volunteers Visa – 6 months single entry.

      • Official- UN/IO Visit Visa (Meetings, Training, Conferences and Workshops) – 30 days (or 90 days with reasons) single entry for UNLP holders and 30 days single entry for national passport holders.
